PETITION: Stop the reintroduction of the Woodford Bus Lane

  • Local News

Redbridge Conservatives are working with local residents to oppose TfL’s plans to reinstate the unpopular and unneeded bus lane in Woodford Avenue.

Residents are clear that before the bus lanes were ‘temporarily suspended’ they caused a huge amount of unnecessary traffic. Although TfL has claimed they consulted with residents at the time, many of those living on Woodford Avenue or nearby have confirmed to us that they were not consulted. We have struggled to find anyone who received a consultation letter at the time.

Local people have told us that they do not think there’s any case for Woodford Avenue bus lanes and that the previous lanes actually increased traffic.

There is now a new consultation with TfL seeking to re-introduce the Woodford Avenue Bus Lanes with reduced timings. So if you oppose TfL trying to push these bus lanes through against the wishes of local people then please respond to the consultation and make your opposition known:

We call upon the Mayor of London to intervene and stop the re-introduction of the Woodford Avenue bus lane.
