The Conservative Government has announced an extension of their Households Support Fund. Havering Council and Redbridge Council have been given a combined total of £7,228,260. This will go a long way in supporting Households who are feeling the squeeze at this time.
Millions of households will get extra help with the cost of living - our Household Support Fund has been extended to March 2024.
This £842 million extension will bring our total support to £2 billion since October 2021.
We're helping families while we deliver on our 5 priorities - including halving inflation.
I welcome the extension of the Households Support Fund. The £7 Million will go a long way in Havering & Redbridge, this extension will help local people who need it more than ever.
